Hi, Coach Tecla here.
My career began in Human Resources and always found myself helping people at work and outside of work, as well. Friends were often seeking my counsel for career and personal advice and in helping them, I felt I was in a flow. Coaching came naturally.
Taking time off from my career to deal with my mother’s advancing Alzheimers, I was presented with an unexpected gift to really think about my life’s passions. The unplanned pause led me to realize helping people define and achieve their potential was how I could be my Best. Changing tack, I went back to school to become a certified coach and obtain other training to augment my years of HR experience. Today I work with women in all industries ranging from fitness to beauty to entertainment in all types of life and career transitions, as well as recent graduates looking for a career path.
Having been born in Florence, Italy and moving to New York at age 10, and having lived in France, Sweden and India, I fully appreciate the immigrant experience. This fuels my affinity for immigrant groups and to volunteer my time with Upwardly Global and New Women New York. My love of literature and reading has led to the forming of the Culture Vulture Book Club in 1999 and serving on the board of Read To A Child.
In addition to reading, my passions are theatre, food, exploring new restaurants, spinning and cycling. I’m fluent in Italian, proficient in French and I also meddle in Spanish.
